SK Telecom announced Today that they will launch an Air Beam service that displays text messages or images in the air. Well, this thing will spell out messages in the air by waving your handset after downloading relevant program. Oh, no, it’s not holographic gizmo! Surprise, surprise, we’re still in 2005! A total of 16 beamed messages can be stored in the handset and a variety of emoticons are downloadable on Nate, SKT’s portal website. An acceleration sensor is deployed and the messages can be seen up to 20 - 30 meters away. Watch out for the light beam though...
